Singer/songwriter/producer Clayton Jones is the featured voice on over 15 million Spotify streams and winner of the St. Louis Sound Competition (2019). Clayton draws from a rich musical influence of Pop, Rock, and R&B, and is most recognized for his palatable vocal tone, relatable songwriting, and authentic personality on and off the stage.
After being lovingly forced by his mom to take up the guitar at the age of 12, he soon discovered an infectious passion for singing, songwriting, and live performance, which inevitably sparked a move to Nashville, TN where he spent several years honing his craft. He now resides in his hometown of St. Louis, MO where he continues to work as a full-time artist/songwriter/producer, alongside serving as the Music Team Leader for his local church.
Before re-launching as a solo artist in early 2017, Clayton spent 7 years as lead singer of former duo The Madison Letter, where he shared the stage with and opened for several A-list artists including The Script, Jon Bellion, and Fifth Harmony. Over the course of his career, he has performed in 30 states across the US as well as internationally in the UK and Africa.
His latest full-length album “Beyond the Fences” was released in November 2018 after his Kickstarter campaign was successfully funded with the help of his fans. From the unashamed testimony of “Ringleader”, to the vulnerable cry of “Odd Man Out”, which alone as accumulated over 700,000 Spotify streams, Clayton gives listeners a transparent glance into his life through every song.
In recent years, he has been fortunate to secure his first TV/Film placement on the Oxygen show ‘Cold Justice’ and also see his collaborative cover of “Hall Of Fame” (w/ DJ/Producers EQRIC and Pharaøh) quickly become his top streamed song on Spotify.
Clayton considers his gifting and any measure of success, not as a means to boast––but to glorify God––and shine the light of Jesus Christ into every sphere and context he finds himself in.
